Finding a functional vehicle has proven to be difficult. These last few days have been trying. Our handful or survivors are still here, but morale is slipping fast. What supplies we had are quickly diminishing. It appears it is time to cut rations, if we don't, we won't last long. There is a plan in place, get to the mountains. I figure the mountain regions were sparsely populated before the outbreak, so the zombie population must be lower, it has to be.
The book has been slow going the last few days. Lots of events going on in real life. My landlord was so kind to let me know that he is selling the house I rent from him, so I needed to find a new place to live ASAP. I have found a place, I am moving back to Moline temporarily. Don't really want to be out that far in bumble-fuck, but, it is my only option at the moment.
My car, that piece of shit, has decided it has run long enough. The transmission has gone out, I can only drive her in second gear. Very frustrating since I have only had the car for a few weeks. I do have a powertrain warranty on the vehicle, but that is proving to be a hassle. An inspector needs to come out and look at my car, then give the mechanic the ok to tear the transmission apart. Then once that is done, the inspector needs to come back out and check all the parts to see if they are covered. It is a vicious cycle of crap.
On the plus side, moving is a God send right now, I am towing the car on the back of the Uhaul, and see if I can get it fixed there. If it is still a big hassle, I will just get something newer.
I am hoping writing will commence soon, I have been working on small projects to keep my writing skills up, mostly gaming poetry. I will keep everyone updated on the progress of the book.
Thanks for reading :-)
